Comprehensive Resource for Veterans

When a member of the British military retires from active service and returns to civilian life, the adjustments required can be significant.

We were recently approached by Lily Jones. As a granddaughter of a veteran, she is aware of the struggle many veterans face, so she decided to do something to try and help by creating a guide which is packed with resources.

We have included just a few of her links on this page but for a very comprehensive list (categorised into different areas so you can find the help you need), you can visit Lily’s own website by clicking here.

It is not uncommon for returning service men and women to need help with:

  • Employment
  • Training
  • Housing
  • mental health
  • addiction
  • disability
  • finance and
  • pensions.

Whilst many civilians face similar issues, the experiences and pressures that military life presents call for a proper understanding, coupled with specialist knowledge. The organisations on Lily's site are able to provide the focused advice and support that veterans deserve.
